The ever-inventive procurer of atmospheric electronic beauty Budakid strikes back with another glorious single for Exploited.
'Walkman' is captivating from the very first moment, where spine-tingling bleepy FX whirr over a shimmering hi-hat groove and filtered melodics. A funk-driven bassline melody slams in with the loose disco percussive groove, and in the distance a lush chord progression teases. In weaves a wavering, simple-yet-potent analog synth hook that phases and filters beautifully as pads gently sweep up. It's a heady, joyous affair, broken up by a beautiful breakdown where gated synths lead the way. A simply majestic composition.
With a previous release on Diynamic and new upcoming music on Moscoman's Disco Halal and Watergate Records, Budakid is surely an artist to watch.
